Christmas roundup
On Christmas Eve we exchanged presents within our little family of three...
Zoe got her dad a book that she thinks will be beneficial for both of them...
And she got her mom something that will help capture memories that she will appreciate seeing in the future.
Opening her first Christmas present from her mom and dad...
Reading this will be a Christmas Eve tradition...
Then we were off to Grandma and Grandpa's (Freling) house on Christmas Day. "Do you like my red tutu? It's my "day" outfit for the Christmas holiday."
This is what Zoe did most of Christmas.
Here is Zoe's "night" look on Christmas...bloomers completed the ensemble. Daddy went all the way home (25 miles at least!) to get this dress that was forgotten on the hall tree. Thanks Daddy!
With Santa in her pretty red silk dress...
Family photo with Santa...
First Christmas as a family of three...
A teeny, tiny scarf, knitted especially by Grandma Snow who we celebrated with a couple of days after Christmas...

Lazy Saturday...
It's a lazy day around here...which is just what we needed after a hectic week. This video captures what we spent part of the day doing...trying to get our gorgeous little baby to smile :)
First night out...
We went out for a little baby free fun last night to Kim and Rob's holiday party...here is the picture to prove it!
Great Aunt Maria was our babysitter extraordinaire...Zoe was pretty good for her, which was a huge relief because sometimes she can just cry and cry. Thanks for being good, Zoe, so she'll want to do it again!

One Month!
Dear Zoe,
You are one month old today! Here is what we want to remember about you:
-Your Dad says that you giggled for the first time during your 3rd week of life (but your Mom doesn't believe it!)
-You usually smile as you fall asleep and you like place your hands in interesting positions on your face too
-You are already trying to take control by holding your bottle and pacifier
-You get a lot of attention wherever we go, whether it is to a family gathering or a trip to the grocery store
-You like to have your head rubbed and it helps you fall asleep
-You don't like to get into your car seat, but once in the car you fall right asleep
-You have more clothes than someone your age really should
-You love looking at the Christmas tree lights...and Aunt Maria's Frosty the Snowman (really any lights or high contrast objects)
-You are the best thing and the hardest thing that your Dad and Mom have encountered in life and 100% worth it!

3 Weeks
The Mustella shampoo didn't end up leaving her hair with the natural looking sheen we were going for, so we'll be looking into some of the salon brands.
She didn't seem to love the bath thing too much...but she didn't seem to hate it either.
All clean!
Santa's little helper...
What did you say? There's this guy named Santa and he brings presents to kids on Christmas?!
That sounds pretty good to me!
Yep, I'm thinking about what I'll ask him for right now!
Of course, I'll ask him for some things for my Mommy and Daddy too!
I think I'll just wait here under the Christmas tree until Christmas and dream of what my first Christmas morning will be like...

Two Week Check Up
Nope, that's not a bank robber with Zoe...it's her Dad!!! He's got a cold and surprised everyone in the house with this getup meant to stop the spread of germs.
And this is Zoe at her new weight...drum roll please........she's a whopping 5 lbs, 12 oz!! Up 9 oz from 7 days ago.
Our baby is growing up right before our eyes...we're so proud of her ;) She's playing shy in this pic.
Thanks to Grandpa Dan and Grandma Nancy for the super cute holiday sleeper...it is one of the few things that fits our little munchkin!
