Parent-Teacher Conferences
Well, we officially feel like parents now...Zoe had her first parent-teacher conferences at school recently. On some level, a conference for a 3 month old seems a little silly, but we were actually really excited for it...15 minutes to hear all about our little "student"...makes us excited for all of the schooling festivities ahead of us!
Zoe got a great review from her teacher, Miss Tiffany. We got a written document with all of the developmental skills that Zoe is meeting according to different areas outlined by the program the school uses, Creative Curriculum.
One of the Miss Tiffany's comments that stands out is that Zoe is extremely observant of activities in the room. She watches the other babies and adults like a hawk and seems to be really taking things in, even when the activity is taking place across the room...watch out everybody...Zoe's watching you!

4 months!
Dear Zoe,
You are four months old! Here is what we want to remember about you:
-You now make "raspberries" when you talk to us...kind of messy, but very entertaining.
-You sleep for 10 hours a night from about 8:00 p.m. until 5 or 6:00 a.m....Heavenly!
-You have pretty much grown out of your 0-3 month clothing and are on to the 3-6 months size.
-You have started to grasp at things...but you don't hold them for very long! You enjoy laying under a play gym to grab at all the hanging toys...very independent!
-You got your first cold...everyone paid extra special attention to you to make sure you were okay...2 doctor's visits, extra updates from your teachers during the day, and sleeping upright on the couch with your Dad for a couple of nights. You coughed so much, you ruptured a blood vessel in your eye...we felt VERY sorry for you :(
-You love looking at yourself in the mirror...although you probably don't realize its you yet!
-Your smile makes our heart stop...please never stop smiling!

Baby's 1st Cold
Zoe has her first official cold :(
It sounds absolutely pathetic when she cries...little whimpers...and let's just say she has given us a few scares with her middle-of-the-night coughing fits.
We slept in this morning and then visited the doctor. The good news is that she does not have RSV...probably just a cold. Although, the doctor said to keep an eye on the coughing for signs of whooping cough. Zoe liked it when the doctor acted out what that sounds like ;)
