The Great Outdoors
After months and months of being cooped up...Zoe got to experience the wonderful world of the outdoors!
Easter
We started our Easter celebration with a trip to see Grandma and Grandpa Snow in Michigan. The Easter bunny left a basket there for Zoe! She got a bunny in the basket and later on decided to get in! Cute outfit complements of Grandma and Grandpa Snow.

5 months!
Dear Zoe,
You are 5 months old! Here is what we want to remember about you:
-You now giggle when we tickle you or something strikes you as very silly (like when your mom dances for you).
-Your teacher said you rolled over at school...but you haven't done it for us at home yet!
-You still wear size 3-6 month clothes but are wearing some 9 months sized dresses with jeans...it's a cute look on you.
-You are very good at grasping things...and putting them right in your mouth. You especially like to gnaw on the face and ears of Sophie the giraffe, but also grab mom's hair and jewelry and dad's shirt collars.
-You are on week 6 of a cough. You are sleeping in mom and dad's room in your bouncy seat to keep you sleeping at an angle and so we can monitor you...your dad jumps up to your side whenever you cough...maybe you'll be in your own room by the time you're 16!
-You started eating rice cereal. It's a very messy production but you seem to be okay with it.
-You got scratched on the face by another baby at school...Daddy was NOT happy.
-You celebrated your first Easter and got LOTS of Easter baskets and gifts. You also looked adorable in the pretty pink dress G Daddy and G Mama got for you.
-You FINALLY got to experience the great outdoors since we've been having an unseasonably warm Spring. Wind was a whole new experience for you...seemed to take your breath away, but you seem to be very entertained when we take you outside.
-You are pretty easy going...we think we lucked out by getting YOU as our baby. We love you!

4 month check up

Well...looks like we have a long, lean model type in our midst...doctor's words, not ours! 40th percentile for weight and 90th (yes ninetieth!) percentile for height. Our beautiful baby girl weighs 12 lbs, 10.6 oz. and is 25 1/2 inches long.
Basketball lessons are currently being investigated ;)
Zoe got 2 more shots and another oral vaccine at the appointment...that was after other tortures, including about 10 attempts to get her blood oxygen level and the very popular swab-up-the-nose procedure, to investigate this month-long cough that she's been suffering through. Doc thinks its non-RSV bronchiolitis. To add to all the other cruelties, Dr. Monroe demonstrated how to do a baby version of a neti pot treatment on Zoe...that one was interesting! So now we are doing baby neti pot treatments twice a day to deal with mucus and she got a baby version of an inhaler to help her lungs not have to work so hard. When they were done with us an hour and 45 minutes later we got out of there fast before they could inflict any more torture!
Zoe was a little fussy last night from the shots, but when we got home she was just delightful and wanted to show off her legs in her new dress...which she also thinks is fun to eat!
