Visit to see Grandma Jane

Zoe and daddy took a trip to visit Grandma Jane in Michigan. Grandma Jane thinks Zoe is pretty special. Zoe thinks Grandma Jane is fun to play with.

Pool's open!

Zoe enjoyed her first dip in her inflatable pool. Other than being a little chilly, it was a good time. She's still trying to figure out how to catch the water when we sprinkle it down from a cup...we'll let you know how that one goes.

Elmo!

The pictures pretty much say it all, but let's just say that this little girl finds talking Elmo to be PRETTY fascinating :)

More 6 months!

6 months!

Dear Zoe,

You are 6 months old! Here is what we want to remember about you:

-Your vocalizations have started to remind us of a squawking bird...very interesting.

-You are now rolling over both ways consistently.

-You are wearing 6-9 month clothes, but they may not fit you for very long!

-You graduated to a full-time crib sleeper! No more bassinet or bunking-in with mom and dad...you were ready a long time ago, but the same can't be said for your parents.

-You have begun eating veggies...sweet peas and sweet potatoes so far.

-You served Mommy the first of many-to-come breakfasts in bed for Mother's Day.

-You are half a year old...we can't believe how quickly you are growing up. Can you please stay this age forever?

2010 Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Zoe participated in her second charity walk event this May (her first was the Les Turner ALS Foundation's Walk for Life in utero). We met up with students in Ms. Swansen's class to walk with Team Lizard. Zoe shmoozed the crowd at Soldier Field beforehand and then slept the entire walk along the lakefront.

More Mother's Day

Two beautiful gifts from two beautiful people. Zoe made the frame at school. Chris got crafty with supplies at the house and made the flower arrangement.

1st Mother's Day!

The day starting out with breakfast in bed. "Ooey, gooey pastries" and bacon were on the menu because, hey, when else can you request such a thing and have it honored?

Zoe presented this gift...after she tasted it, of course.

The contents of the deli package above...compliments of the The T-Shirt Deli.

The contents of the deli package...a fun customized apron complete with a tongue-hanging out picture of Zoe begging to be fed. She's already giving self-serving gifts...what's next? Gerber's puffs? A pedicure was the chosen gift from Dad...now that's a selfless gift!

Zoe visited g.mama later in the day. She soaked up some good lovin.

Doesn't she look surprised that she remembered to get g.mama a card? Guess she forget what was inside and couldn't wait to be reminded.

Zoe and Mommy...now this is what Mother's Day is all about!

Yeah, she was the center of attention...just like it should be.

Oma love.

Sometimes I'm bashful...

Sticking my tongue out helps with balance!

My Mommy loves me

Mommy, why did you dress me in this outfit?

Ooooooh....I can EAT the dress? Now I get it!

Okay, I guess dressing up ain't that bad

T-shirt turban!

Look who's eating!

Zoe started eating solids a few weeks ago..it is quite a messy endeavor! She has only had rice cereal so far, but we will start veggies soon (Sorry Zoe, no fruits yet! We don't want you to become addicted to the sweet stuff...if we can help it!) She is doing better with her eating skills each week and last night she actually opened her mouth each time the spoon was brought to her mouth...now that's good eating form!

Zoe makes a new girlfriend

Recently, Zoe got to meet a good friend of mine, Cyndi, and a potential new pal, her daughter Delaney. They got along well, and Zoe is looking forward to visits to them both in Sheboygan to hang out in the hot tub and the partake of the various amenities that are available at their home which we lovingly refer as "the lodge".

Just add a hammock and margarita...
