11 months!

Dear Zoe,

You are 11 months old! Here is what we want to remember about you:
-You have had a lot of gastrointestinal, teething, temperature issues lately...which has made things interesting around here.  Mommy and Daddy have gotten a few days off each to take care of you after daycare kicked you out!  It was fun staying home with you...

-You are little miss independent lately when it comes to eating.  You pretty much refuse to eat food we serve you from a spoon, preferring to bring it to your mouth by yourself.  This works well for mashed avocado and banana and not so well for soup.  When we give you the spoon, you like to wave it violently in a fit of excitement and we duck to avoid flying food.

-You are what we affectionately refer to as "A STINKER".  We have been trying to get you to wave "bye-bye" for about a month now and you would always looked back amused, but with no hint that you would return the gesture.  When we mentioned that this was important to us to your teacher, she waved at you then and there and you waved right back.  Come to find out, you've been waving to your classroom teachers and all the other classroom teachers for quite a while.  Hence, the "STINKER" label.  Ever since you were outed you've been waving to us all the time!

-You stood all by yourself while we were at the Museum of Science & Industry.  Maybe it was the fancy Mary Jane's you were wearing ;)  You are also walking with your baby stroller all around the house.  You take off and then look back and wave...adorable.  You also love to throw a ball...you get SUPER excited and pump it up and down a few times before you let go...you won't go after the ball if it gets returned out of your reach though...throwing must much more fun than chasing.

-You got 2 teeth on the top and another tooth on the bottom (we were wondering when the 4th tooth on the bottom would finally erupt).  That's a grand total of 6!  You enjoy biting into things!

-One more month and you will be a year old...you can stop growing now...we want you to stay this little forever!
